South of the city (SOC) is a social enterprise focused on activating Melbourne's southside with music, language, art and all good things creative.

We’re run by a network of young people – musicians, artists, filmmakers and dancers – who are invested in supporting, promoting and bringing the best arts events closer to home.

Since August 2017, SOC has put on gigs, exhibitions and film screenings in some of the best local venues on the southside.

We’re also working to locate the culturally significant events, venues and people that exist in the south, and show them to the world.

To kick off 2019, we’re hosting our second festival — SOUTH SPACE 19. It runs form the 10th to the 17th of February, and more than 20 events are packed into the program.
