South of the City presetns: LYRICISM ~ sound+projection

We've invited four artists to shed layers of instrumentation, peel back percussive shrouds and foreground their lyrics at the centre of the performance.

Using an old overhead projector that we bought off a guy in Balaclava, we'll project lyrics of each song onto the musicians as they are sung.

Hovering above the whir of the projector, the artists will be doused in glowing lights, their poetry fanned around the room and their music stripped to its core elements.

Lyricism features:
Tram Cops (solo)
Kill the Darling (solo)
Mel Taylor

It's a sit down gig - Gene & Peta will provide some cushions and other seating, but BYO cushion to be safe.

Gene & Peta has a strictly limited capacity, so get your tickets fast.

Entry is $10.
